Bellwether Farms

In 1986 Bellwether Farms was born when Cindy Callahan bought sheep to mow her pasture grasses. That innocent act triggered events that placed her family at the forefront of an American revival in artisan dairy. It also tapped into the best in each of us, resulting in work that feels more like a creative process than labor. In 1990, they were among the first in the US to milk a sheep. Today, they continue to make award-winning cheeses and yogurt on their Sonoma County farm.
