After many years of investigating, planning and production, we’re excited to release the Oliver’s Own line of beer! “What took you so long?” you ask? Well, we like to do things right, and needed to be assured the quality would meet our high standards, and of course, they had to be brewed in Sonoma County. So, it took a lot of time, effort…and tasting!
In the end, we created a line of beers that will appeal to everyone. From a smooth Pils and juicy Hazy IPA, to a Single Hop Pale Ale and rich Porter, you’re destined to find a beer or two that suits your flavor profile and becomes your new go-to beer!
If you take a close look at the label of our new Oliver’s Own Beer, you’ll notice something they all have in common. A truck. A1946 Chevrolet Two Ton truck to be exact. So, you’re probably thinking…why the truck? Well, Steve Maass has an affinity for old trucks. Remember,, before he opened Oliver’s Market, he and his wife Ruth sold produce out of an old Coca-Cola truck they had converted into a mobile produce stand in San Francisco. Steve came across the truck on our beer label some years back and bought it because he thought it was cool. He intended to put it in the Cotati store and sell produce off of it. Unfortunately, the truck was too wide to fit through the doors. Instead, it has become another symbol of Oliver’s Market. It made an appearance at our 30th Anniversary celebration and is currently sitting in front of the Windsor store.
