Pan-Seared Black Cod with Lemon Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 black cod fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 lemon (juice and zest)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the fillets with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the fillets, skin-side down.

  3. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy.

  4. Flip the fish and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the fish is opaque.

  5. Lower the heat and add butter and lemon juice to the pan.

  6. Spoon the butter sauce over the fish for another 1-2 minutes.

  7. Garnish with lemon zest and parsley before serving.
