Black Cod with Garlic Soy Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 black cod fillets
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl to make the sauce.

  2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little oil.

  3. Sear the black cod fillets, skin-side down, for 3-4 minutes until crispy.

  4. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until done.

  5. Add the sauce to the pan and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes to thicken.

  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with rice or vegetables.
