Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Duties:
- Must complete tasks in a timely manner so as to meet deadlines
- Control spoilage and minimize out-of-stock items
- Merchandising
- Provide excellent and quality service to customers
- Aid in the development and training of new employees
- Order, stock and maintain appropriate levels back stock of selected categories and items
- In coordination with the Dairy Lead you will ensure highest level of execution of day-to-day duties:
- Facing
- Inventory floor and pull quantities of
- Out of stocks
- Ad items
- TPR, EDLP, In-store items
- Seasonal items
- Other low stock items
- Back stock accounting
- Throw the load
- Minimize mis-stocks
- Execute proper rotation of perishable items
- Display/End-cap merchandising and maintenance
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Understand POS system and apply knowledge to execute:
- Correct knowledge of each vendor’s product line
- Scan for missing tags
- Scan for in-stores
- Process invoices
- Properly execute Intercompany Transfers
- Build displays and request appropriate signage
- Preform all other duties as assigned

- Strong basis in math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)

- Ability to read and understand safety manuals, vendor invoices, intercompany communications, pricing lists

- The employee must wear protective gloves when working in the freezer
- The employee must wear non-slip shoes at all times

- While performing the duty of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, squat, reach and kneel
- The employee must frequently talk or hear and reach with both hands and arms above and below the shoulder
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or crawl
- The employee must be able to bend and twist at waist and neck.
- The employee must be able to use their fingers to operate a keyboard or mouse in order to complete administration duties
- The employee must occasionally lift and carry up to or over 75 pound items and regularly lift up to and carry 25 pound items
- The employee must be able to tolerate repetitive reaching, handling, grasping, pushing, pulling, gripping and manipulation of hands and fingers in order to face, stock and build displays
- The employee must be able to tolerate intermittent noise from customers, back of house machinery and overhead speakers.
- The employee must be able to work around heavy equipment and machinery such as but not limited to: a forklift, bailers, pallet jack, electric lift and large trucks
- The employee occasionally will be required to operate a heavy machinery such as a forklift
- The employee must be able to tolerate moderate amounts of dust, chemical fumes from common household cleaning agents and diesel fumes
- The employee must be able to occasionally tolerate extremes in temperature during the early morning, while in the freezer, the dairy box and at the receiving dock
