Oliver’s Own Wines
As everyone knows, at Oliver’s, “Local Means Sonoma County.” You won’t see North Coast or California as appellations on our labels. So, it took some time and it took a lot of thinking, and of course, a lot of tasting too. In the end, we came up with what we believe is a winning formula for our own wines. Take a real sip of Sonoma County with Oliver’s Own Private Label wines.
Oliver’s Own Chardonnay, 2017 Sonoma Valley – Complexity and focus come together in an easy sipping white wine. This Chardonnay is refreshing and crisp with a beautiful dose of acid. Whole-cluster pressing and cold-settling of the juice was followed by barrel fermentation, creating a lightly oaked, versatile wine.
Oliver’s Own Pinot Noir, 2016 Russian River Valley – Multi-layered with enticing aromas of cherry cola, ripe raspberry and vanilla bean anticipate lush, concentrated red-fruit flavors infused with earthy notes, a bit of subtle smoke and spice. Silky and smooth with a long, satisfying finish.
Oliver’s Own Cabernet Sauvignon,2015, Sonoma County – The grapes are sourced from the Olive Hill Vineyards of BR Cohn. Jammy, with black cherry, warm spice and a hint of green bell pepper, this is top quality wine at an amazing price!
Oliver’s Own Meritage, 2014, Sonoma County – A blend of Merlot, with Cabernet Sauvignon. This beautiful red blend offers aromas of ripe raspberry bright cherry accented by vanilla. Full and lush on the palate, with ne grained, well-integrated tannins, this Meritage weaves together a rich and complex array of cherry, chocolate and toasty oak, with just a touch of black pepper. Even, fruit-infused finish.
Oliver’s Own Merlot, 2016, Sonoma County – Rich, oaky aromas of tobacco and caramel develop into jammy notes of blackberries, cherry and spicy plum. Smooth on the palate, this plush, concentrated wine finishes with nice chewy tannins accented by hints of chocolate. Excellent with Beef Bourguignon, Rack of Lamb, Portobello Mushrooms, and Beef Stew.
Oliver’s Own Zinfandel, 2015, Sonoma County – This is a classic example of Sonoma County Zin, dense and chewy, with unbridled rich, ripe fruit: red plum, bramble, cassis and black cherry with caramel, spice and chocolate undertones. Lush and smooth. An ideal match for barbecued ribs or spicy wings, this wine is the perfect addition to your backyard barbecue or game-time party.
Oliver’s Own Sangiovese,2016, Sonoma County – A taste of Italy from grapes grown here in Sonoma County. Lovely aromas of strawberry and cassis are followed by well-developed and balanced flavors of red cherry and black currant. There’s a Chianti-style earthiness on the finish.
Oliver’s Own Sauvignon Blanc, 2017, Sonoma Valley – Bright crisp acid, beautiful citrus notes, with a delightful crispness that lingers on the finish. We recommend drinking our Sauvignon Blanc with a nice chill on it. This wine is the perfect companion to fresh oysters or light cheese for your spring and summer patio gatherings.
Oliver’s Own Pinot Grigio,2017, Sonoma County – Multi-layered, deep, and rich. Enticing aromas of dried cherry, ripe plum and vanilla bean anticipate lush, concentrated red-fruit flavors infused with earthy notes, a bit of subtle smoke and spice. Silky smooth with a long, satisfying finish. Pinot Noir is one of the most food-friendly wines around. Pair with roasted duck, roasted pork loin, grilled salmon, and swordfish
