Franco American/Mezzaluna Bakery
Locally owned and operated in Santa Rosa since 1900, Franco American began by serving local dairymen, farmers, and cattle ranchers, establishing themselves as a premier maker of genuine sourdough breads. In 1938, Mario and Frank Bastoni purchased the bakery and continued the tradition, adding retail stores and restaurants to their customer base. Recently the bakery was purchased by Robert Bastoni and his daughter Kristin Bastoni-Frazee. Today nearly 20,000 loaves of bread per week are baked and delivered with the same quality and service that has been consistent since 1900.
Franco American Bakery also operates under the name Mezzaluna Bakery. Mezzaluna has over 10 varieties by itself, including Focaccia, Ciabatta and Pane Lievitato.
