Ingredients

  • 1 ½ to 2 lbs. heirloom tomatoes, cored and cut into quarters
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/8 cup pickle juice
  • 1 ½ teaspoon celery salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco
  • 1 ½ teaspoon prepared horseradish
  • 12 oz. vodka
  • Ice
  • Garnishes (optional)
  • Heirloom cherry tomatoes
  • Pickled asparagus
  • Pepperoncini
  • Olives
  • Rim Garnishes (optional)
  • Lemon wedges
  • Celery salt
  • Kosher salt & chili powder
  • Tajin

Instructions

  1. Place cored and quartered tomatoes in a blender. Blend on high until thoroughly pureed. Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a large measuring glass measuring cup. (This may need to be done in batches, depending on the size of your blender).

  2. In the same blender you used to blend the tomatoes, place 3 cups of fresh tomato juice, lemon juice, pickle juice, celery salt, black pepper, salt, tabasco, and prepared horseradish.

  3. Blend on high until well mixed. Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.

  4. Transfer blended mixture to the fridge and let chill thoroughly, at least one hour.

  5. Once the mixture is chilled, it’s time to make drinks!

  6. Optional - Run a lemon wedge around the outside rim of your drinking glass. Pour your desired rim garnish onto a small plate and roll the wet edge of the glass across the seasoning at a 45-degree angle. Repeat with the remaining glasses.

  7. Place ice in your drinking glasses, top with 1½-2oz of vodka and 4oz of your fresh Bloody Mary mix. Stir to combine.

  8. Garnish as desired and enjoy!
