Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Lottie’s Everyday Ground Pork Sausage
  • 1 Small yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 32 oz. Whole mushrooms
  • 8 oz. Package of cream cheese, room temperature
  • ½ C. Parmesan cheese, Shredded
  • ½ C. Gouda cheese, Shredded
  • ¼ C. Breadcrumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. Melted butter
  • Chili flake & Lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees & de-stem your mushrooms, dice the stems and set aside.

  2. Brown one pound Lottie’s sausage in pan, chopping into little pieces. Sauté onion on low-medium heat until translucent

  3. In a medium-size bowl, add cream cheese, Parmesan, chopped mushroom stems, and Gouda then mix together. Fold in sausage mixture.

  4. Line a sheet pan with foil or parchment paper and spray with cooking oil. Using a spoon, scoop mixture into mushroom cap and place on the sheet tray

  5. In a small bowl mix breadcrumbs with melted butter. Add chili flake and lemon zest. Drizzle on top of stuffed mushrooms

  6. Bake at 350° for ~25 minutes until golden brown and mushrooms are tender. Broil for a few minutes at the end to get golden tops.
